John Foresto — Wireline Technology

John Foresto, the managing partner of Stratum Broadband, heads up the overall consulting services teams. In addition to his strategic consulting role, he is responsible for designing and constructing all wireline and wireless networks, including the back office and operating support systems. Mr. Foresto also has extensive experience in carrier operations, administration, and maintenance (OA&M) systems. He also has first-hand knowledge of the business procedures used both to deliver service and to ensure the quality of that service.Prior to founding Stratum Broadband, Mr. Foresto had a successful 30-year career with a national telecommunications carrier, serving in several executive management roles. In his most recent position as vice president of engineering and planning he was responsible for building a new two billion dollar nationwide DSL network. Before that, he was a founding member of a subsidiary company charged with creating a new nation-wide, long distance telephone network. He was the principal network architect and supervised the planning and construction of the long distance network.

John Reynolds — Systems Integration

John Reynolds, partner in Stratum Broadband, is responsible for heading up the consulting services that focus on systems integration. Over the years, he has developed personal contacts with large numbers of telecommunications industry executives. His business and technical expertise have given him a unique insight into the structural changes affecting modern business and its effective use of technology. For many years Mr. Reynolds has been involved in systems engineering and marketing for several well-known US corporations. Recently, as president of a major systems integration company, he acted as chief architect and directed the launch of a facilities-based competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) operations platform that included a full integration suite for both OA&M and back office functionality. He also oversaw the Operation Support System (OSS) integration, billing, and e-business planning for the same company. In other engagements Mr. Reynolds conducted audits of the convergent billing and consolidated Web services projects for several large carriers to determine the optimum systems integration methods and most cost-effective development strategies for their projects.

Eugene Currie — Network Engineering

Eugene Currie brings more than 32 years of telecommunications and project management experience to the company. He possesses a very strong understanding of operational processes and centers. He designed and implemented two switching control centers, as well as a network and a video operations center.Before joining Stratum Broadband, Mr. Currie was vice president of quality systems for an area wireless infrastructure services company. There, he developed and implemented company-wide quality processes and procedures for all aspects of the corporation. He has also held various management positions in several other area companies. He worked as a central office manager for the switching center of a major telecommunications company in Boston. He was recognized as one of their top technical managers and presented with the President's Circle Award, the company's highest honor. He was also a Senior SS7 network engineer for a prepaid cellular service provider, where he implemented a unique platform for providing SS7 services.As a former member of a regional Bell company, Mr. Currie worked as an area operations manager and technical support operations manager. During his tenure, he held various positions, including systems implementation manager, operations manager for network reliability, and director of video services operations.
